Power line route released

Grain Belt Express counties revealed, application filed with Public Service Commission

Grain Belt Express Clean Line LLC announced its route in Missouri for the Grain Belt Express power line project, a proposed 750-mile overhead, direct-current transmission line. The line would deliver energy from western Kansas to points east. The proposed route includes eight Missouri counties: Buchanan, Clinton, Caldwell, Carroll, Chariton, Randolph, Monroe and Ralls.

Clean Line submitted the proposed route for the Missouri portion of the Grain Belt Express as part of its application for a certificate of convenience and necessity in a filing with the Missouri Public Service Commission. Such certification would give the go-ahead for construction.
