Corn Meal Dinner Rolls

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/3 cup corn meal
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tbls. yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 4 to 5 cups flour
Directions
Cook together sugar, shortening, cornmeal, milk and salt. Cool; add eggs, yeast (dissolved in water) and flour to make a dough. Let rise until double. Shape into rolls with greased hands. Roll in corn meal and put in a greased pan. Let rise again, and then bake at 350° for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. Yields 30 rolls.
